City Band Concerts

The Lawrence City Band, sponsored by LPRD with assistance from the Rice Foundation, will present this annual concert series at 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the William Kelly Bandstand in historic South Park, 1141 Massachusetts St. There is no charge to attend. Lawrence Busker Festival

A three-day festival of street performers in historic Downtown Lawrence. Professional buskers from around the country will flock to Lawrence for the second annual Busker Fest. These talented street performers will bring their unique form of public entertainment to the sidewalks and streets of Downtown Lawrence for a two-day festival.

Downtown Lawrence Holiday Lighting Ceremony and Santa’s Arrival

Join us in Downtown Lawrence where the holiday comes alive with our Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony. The evening begins with singing by local choral groups as we anxiously await the arrival of Santa on the rooftop of Weaver’s Department Store. Once rescued from the roof by the Lawrence Fire Department, Santa will visit with children.
